CARSON CITY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — The Carson City permit center will soon begin accepting all building permits, zoning permits and business licenses through an online customer service portal.
Starting Tuesday, November 12, customers can begin using the online portal.
According to community development director Lee Plemel, “Our goal is to streamline the permitting process and make it easier for customers to submit applications. We’re also implementing measures behind the scenes to facilitate more efficient plan reviews and coordination by City staff.”
City officials say the new system will allow customers to submit permit applications online at any time, any day of the week.
The City’s building division is advising customers that there may be some delays in the review of permits submitted the weeks of Nov. 4 to Nov. 15 due to permits being converted from the existing permitting software system to the new system.
